A True American Hero

Cpl. Michael Anderson, Jr.

A True American Hero

An ordinary lad
Working for fun
Just like his dad
Always on the run

One day came
He knew his calling
Terror was aflame
Buildings were falling

There was no call
But he enlisted
To fight for us all
Through bootcamp persisted

Trained by the best
Became lean and mean
He was put to the test
Mike became a MARINE!

He was not hesitant
When his skills were needed
Commanded by the president
His words were heeded

He picked up his gun
And answered the call
His Mission began
To fight for us all

He was not alone
There were more like him
Men made of stone
Chiseled tough and trim

Mike got ‘er done
For all of us here
The price of a son
So we live without fear!

With great love and admiration,
Vito and Sally Celentano
